Improv Connections
Creative Change Facilitator
In addition to receiving a Graduate Certificate from SUNY Buffalo State's International Center for Studies in Creativity, Jane has been a session leader or co-presenter at CPSI since 2014. Most of her sessions have focused on an aspect of connecting applied improvisation tools and techniques with CPS. She has facilitated numerous workshops, both in-person and virtually, for conferences and with private clients since 2011. Jane’s personal style involves highly interactive, experiential activities that connect creative mindsets, skill sets, and tool sets.    She believes that work and play are complements, not opposites. She believes that play - as a mindset, a process, and a practice - is beneficial to the individual and the collective. She believes that playfulness is not exclusive to extroverted personalities. She believes that simple joys yield some of the greatest moments of happiness. Jane has been an improv performer for 18 years and sees it as both her gym and her mental massage appointments, and a place where collaboration, laughter, “what if” and “what else” come to life. Also, she likes to play with creativity through cooking and baking. Discovering new combinations and approaches can reap delicious rewards! Jame believes that CPSI is an opportunity for seasoned professionals to adopt new tools and skills, for experienced creative professionals to grow and expand their approach, and for new and curious attendees to see and experience what is possible with a creative mindset, skill set, and tool set. The dance of rigor and whimsy is something that doesn't quite exist at the same level any place else.
