Worksystems, Inc.
Communications Strategist and Team Facilitator
Cheryl Nee-Gieringer is a communication professional with a passion for understanding the relationship between communication and creativity. She has a background in training program development, marketing, and organizational development. At Worksystems, a Portland-based nonprofit, she facilitates collaboration between community-based organizations and government agencies to implement programs that provide pathways to individuals’ living-wage employment. Previously, she worked in marketing communication and training in the high-tech industry. Nee-Gieringer enjoys tinkering in the arts for fun and insight. She holds a master’s in communications and leadership from Gonzaga University and a graduate certificate from the Center for Creative Studies.

Cheryl currently facilitates collaborations between community-based organizations and government agencies to develop and implement workforce development programs. She leans on the Creative Problem Solving processes and tools to help in these collaborations. Her career combines two passions: communication and facilitating innovation in teams. These passions have helped Cheryl thrive in multi-stakeholder environments where a variety of voices and positions must be heard and considered when developing communication strategies and plans. She returns to CPSI to refresh her creative spirit.
