Cecilia Yau is an educational consultant, a Creative Problem Solving facilitator, a speaker, an editor, and a writer. She had been a coordinator of the gifted program (kindergarten to grade 13) in the Niagara South Board of Education in Canada for 20 years. She was appointed chairperson of the Ontario Consultants for the Gifted. She had been an instructor at Niagara College and Brock University for more than 10 years and has facilitated CPS workshops for Ontario government agencies in the health, cultural, and financial sectors, and small businesses in the Niagara region. For more than 25 years, she has been presenting numerous workshops on creative thinking, CPS processes, preparing the mindset for managing upheavals and innovation, and other topics in international conferences throughout Canada, the United States, and in Portugal. She has been a Colleague of the Creative Education Foundation, and has served as a leader and presenter for CPSI since 1983. She served on the CEF board of directors for six years, and received CEF's Distinguished Leader Award. Yau is an avid lifelong learner. She has a master’s from McMaster University and another master’s from the State University of Buffalo. Her recent book is Creative Geniuses: Breaking Boundaries in Science and Art in the Modern World.
