Currently in third year of PhD in Arts Education at Simon Fraser University being inspired to drive meaningful change. As a foodie, and former sensory and consumer insights specialist, Marlies Grindlay used to engage her senses to guide the application of flavors for FMCG, while seeking to understand consumers across Sub-Saharan Africa. She focuses on using the whole body, senses, and intuition in facilitating creative process, and helps people to tap into their inner wisdom. She believes in the power of creative thinking to make choices that give life. Marlies is a practitioner of the philosophies of Appreciative Inquiry and a facilitator of Biodanza, bringing possibility into innovation and individual expression by exploring the positive core, strengths, and values. Marlies is a graduate of the Master’s program in creativity from the ICSC in Buffalo, and has presented at CREA (Italy), CPSI, and ACRE/EDU (SA) conferences, as well as various business schools in South Africa.
