Jane Fischer

Improv Connections
New York, United States
Jane Fischer’s life has been built largely on three things: a love of comedy and performing, playing with imagination and ideas, and the desire to help others and make a positive impact. With more than 20 years of experience and leadership in health and human services, she knows that a creative approach is vital when facing challenges and change, as are a sense of humor and positive intent. In 2002, she co-founded The Unexpected Guests Improv Comedy Group. She later founded Improv Connections, offering applied improvisation tools for personal, professional, and organizational development. Through improv-based exercises, participants explore such elements as flexibility, collaboration, and co-creation, all while having fun. She later expanded her professional offerings to include creative problem solving and other applied creativity practices, as well as laughter wellness work. She holds a master’s degree in health arts and sciences, and a Graduate Certificate in Creativity and Change Leadership, and is a certified Foursight facilitator.
