EXT0301 Implement Now: Applying KANBAN to Optimize and Act

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The Japanese word KANBAN, meaning visual signal, is a productivity methodology that allows us to visualize the amount of work we have and how that work is done. Adaptable to different contexts, ages, professions and learning styles, KANBAN allows us to understand the shape of our work and where our bottlenecks are, what we excel at, and where we should put a focus for improvement. Once you have a KANBAN board in place, it becomes the cornerstone for a journey of continuous improvement. If you are a CPS practitioner, KANBAN is a great addition to the implementation phase toolset. Whatever the size or complexity of your next idea, KANBAN can help you make it happen. You will:
• Learn the four basic rules of KANBAN.
• Build an initial KANBAN board for a project or work process of your choice.
• Understand how to use your board to have clarity about how you work, what blocks you, and how you can improve.
• Learn how to implement more through KANBAN.
